American Idol: High Ratings or Pure Talent? (part 2)

I had a million other thoughts prepared last night about how I can continue my thoughts about this topic. But I came to a realization that as much as I want these things to change even for the slightest bit, it may not because American Idol, after all, is an income generating show for the hundreds of people working in front and behind the scenes. Capitalizing on what seems to be interesting to many is what keeps them going. Too bad it's at the expense of individuals who have feelings and emotions.

It's sad to think that this may be the inexplicable reality behind these "reality shows".

Remind me not to audition for Philippine Idol this year. :(
