Absence does not make me less of a Taylor fan
Let me begin this by saying that I missed all of my soul sisters here on this site!!! God, I was aching to get back to posting and joining in all the fun, but work wouldn't let me have my fun for a while. Then Alan emailed me a couple of times asking me about my blog, and let's just say that made me realize what I'm missing.
Anyhow, during the time I was "out of the loop" , I felt so guilty not being able to catch myself up with the latest goings-on in the career of Taylor, I didn't know that the book was released already, the Angels helped Alan watch his first ever Tay concert, Mandy's adventures on Taylor's concerts. It made me re-think if the commitment was still there and if I was still willing to continue truckin' on with Taylor.
Then I was browsing the site one time, I saw the numbers of Taylor's album sales, and my heart just sank to the floor. I mean, normally I don't care about the numbers, but being away so long and then it being the first thing I read, it was kind of heartbreaking for me. Then that was the time I realized something. I suddenly remembered something Taylor said when the album was released, that he didn't care much about the numbers because he only wants to bring good music to his fans.
Then I began to think what was I being disappointed at? I guess what just happened was it re-affirmed why I was here, and that I'm in it for the long haul. Absence did not make me less of a Taylor fan, if anything, I became a better fan and I will not be going anywhere!
