"I haven't forgotten about everyone. A) I am really bad at writing these
things. I never know what you guys want to hear from me. But, if you
call into (205) 413-4777 and leave me some messages about what you want
to hear about from the road, that would be really helpful. And B) I
can't lie. I needed some time off. I was tired from the spring tour so I
ducked out for a little while. But, I AM BACK and on the road again for
the rest of the summer. Last week, I sang the national anthem at Game 4
of the NBA finals. I have to say that was one of the coolest things I
have attended. I am a sports fan and it was just a really cool event to
be at.
I had my first weekend of shows this past weekend in NY and
Massachusetts. We kicked it off right and being back with the band is
great. We have too much fun together. I will try and remember some fun
stories from the road this summer and type them up for you. Bill is
holding the camera again this go round. So, make sure you check out the
youtube channel and taylorhicks.com for some raw tour footage. That is
the good stuff. I think we are leaving the best stuff for the fan club
members though...so, Taylor access is at your discretion!!
Ok, well, I am headed to Omaha or Iowa or somewhere in the Midwest. I

WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!
Sorry I have been under the radar lately (no pun intended)! After I wrapped up my spring tour and performed on the finale of American Idol, I headed off for some much needed R&R. But, now, I am back on the road and excited to see everyone again for my summer tour. I am back on the bus with the band (but I am in kid rock's old tour bus this time-that's cool, right?) and we are picking up right where we left off.
I hope everyone is enjoying being a member of the fan club. There are going to be a lot of exciting things popping up on here in the next couple months. I have TONS of raw footage from the last tour and am shooting even more this go round so you will be getting some true velvet rope treatment on here. I just hope there are some good editors working on the footage...haha. We are going to be running more contests on here so make sure you check back often for those...you never know what I am going to be giving away next...maybe a lock of my hair. JK.
Oh, also, you can catch a live performance of "Heaven Knows" online soon. We had one of my last shows from the first leg of the tour shot and they are putting together some cool "vibey" video. I hope you enjoy that. Later on, I will probably put out a live DVD of a show, so I am pretty excited about that. It takes time though with all the edits and the feedback and approvals. Believe me, I get impatient so I am right there with you!
Alright, I gotta go do some phoners but I am excited to get into a routine of checking in A LOT more often. I hope you don't get tired of me [not a chance Tay! haha}...

Dudes, I just got off the phone with Taylor! ( ok, yeah, well his voice mail anyway)
Pretty entertaining message - reminds me of the ol' audio blog days. I can't wait to call back with something clever to say. I'm sure he has some dedicated staff sifting through the flood of messages for the most lucid.

i just called, i was so star struck just hearing his voice i couldn't think of anything to say. After i come up with something to ask him i will call back. That voice is really something, i haven't seen him on tour, i would just fall out in the aisle if i saw him.
