I'm actually wondering if it might be Kelly Clarkson.  She has an album due out late this fall/winter and you never know

I think it would be better if it wasn't someone connected to Idol since it would look like he only got the writing gig because of Idol.

I want this megastar to be someone outside of the Idol franchise.

I agree. If it's a star not affiliated with Idol, it will give Taylor a lot more cred.

I'm thinking someone also affiliated with his management group CAA - one of which is Maroon 5. Now the reason I say this is that if you go to Taylor's website and click on the properties of that new bannar for the M&G on Broadway, you'll see it says http://maroon5.com/taylor/banner530x248.jpg.  And he did mention a "group" in that interview before he said "she", so........... just thinking here.

On the other hand, anyone like Sheryl Crow,  Bonnie Raitt, one of the mega-country females stars out there would be wonderful.

CAA (Creative Artists Agency) and CAM are seperate entities.  And CAM (Career Artists Management) is now a part of Irving Azoff's Front Line Management.

Separate.  But when the artist has hired both companies, there are times when the companies have to work together.

I agree it would be better for him not to have another Idol record the song. But..... Kelly Clarkson is recording in Nashville as we speak. Didn't he say he was in Nashville collaborating a while back??

I think Bonnie Raitt has a rich blusie sound that would work well with a Taylor tune, but I'm not sure she qualifies as a 'mega-star'. "Legend" or something perhaps...

Most of the chics on the charts today I personally find kind of annoying -
but Macy Gray or Alicia Keys come to mind as pretty good fits.
I dig their sound and style. Hip and soulful.

Taylor said that this female megastar is huge.

If it's a pop star then it has to be Beyoncé.  She is recording her new CD for release this fall. 
And if it's a country star then it has to be Faith Hill.  She will be recording her next CD of original music soon.

Im a Britney fan ( ...........dont know.........IF she is THE BIG MEGASTAR????(I mean she is a HUGE MEGASTAR........JUST maybe not THE MEGASTAR Taylor referred too?????????).....but I wouldnt be opposed!..........but I have a feeling its someone else!?!
